In the land of the Hongkies....

Before I left Singapore, I set out to "blast my teeth". But there was a slight problem...I had no toothpaste. Don't get me wrong, I didn't forget to bring it. That would be a sacrilegious. I packed in two travel-size tubes of toothpaste, but they were rock hard when I tried to squeeze it out. So I did the mad-woman dash to the 24 hours shop to get a tube before I boarded. Seriously, I'd die before going 2 days without blasting my teeth. Either that or the world around me will die.

But that little excitement was sure welcome. =) I still have a whopping 20 odd hours of planes and terminals before I reach.

Oh, by the way, I hit the jackpot today. The seat next to me during the 4 hour flight from Singapore to HongKong was E.M.P.T.Y!! Now THAT is joy.

Summer 09

Since I have 15 minutes before I run along to wash my face and blast my teeth before I run along to find some H2O to consume before I run along to Gate B5 to wait and be bored, before I run along to catch my connection to Hong Kong, I shall blog again.

I'm sorry, I have a 8 hour lay over in Singapore. I have like 2 things to do. Blog, drink coffee, and blog again.

But yes, summer holidays. People are forever asking me what on earth I did for 3 months. So here's the answer:
  1. Sleep. My favourite past time.
  2. Hang out with family.
  3. Catch up with friends, friends and more friends.
  4. Watch mum cook. I shall be setting my kitchen on fire very soon.
  5. Bake bread, get disappointed, bake more bread, get disappointed again. =)
  6. Be siewpau something like 7 weeks in a row. Like seriously, I don't get what's so funny about siewpau.
  7. Do mum & dad's powerpoints.
  8. Teach mum and dad how to use their phones/gadgets.
  9. Fix the sound on the family computer.
  10. Volunteer at NASAM.
  11. Learn to drive properly. Alone. Not get my license, mind you.
  12. Fall sick. I'm only allowed to fall sick while I'm in Malaysia. Grab the chance, germs.
  13. Read the books dad selected for me. Didn't happen, btw. =D
  14. Go church camp and be useful. Sorta.
  15. Go SS Mid Year Review and be useful. Sorta.
  16. Shop like a girl. Try to, at least.
  17. Reunite with the guitar-hubby.
I shall add to the list if I can think of anything else. But for now, I shall run along to wash my face and blast my teeth before I run along to find some H2O to consume before I run along to Gate B5 to wait and be bored, before I run along to catch my connection to Hong Kong. See you there!

I'm fighting jet lag. That is, I'm not letting myself sleep till it's the normal Malaysian time to sleep. And considering the fact that I've not had a proper night's sleep since last Wednesday night, this is jest a leetle bit torturous.

Jest a leetle bit.

So I'm blogging to keep awake. Bear with me k?

Roommate, me and Roomie: the only thing I'll miss about the dorm.

Le: My itsy bitsy Study Buddy.

Females in general.

President McDaniel and friends.

Me, Tessa & Abby: Biblical Literature buddies.
.
Noooooo...I ran out of pictures to blog about. Need to find something else to do before sleep overcomeths me.

11 MAY 2009

I'm home.
I'm getting a phone.
Soon.
I'll sms.
Soon.
Zzzzz.

Here's a story for you.

I can't sleep (I'm gonna be doing some major jetlagging), so here's a story for you...
.
My rule of thumb when it comes to weighing luggage is, "If I can lift it, it isn't overweight". By the way, the cut off point, according to United Airlines, overweight is 23 kg or 50 pounds. So, this time around, when I packed my suitcase, I did the Lift Test and it passed easily.
.
But because (once in a while) I'm not a scatterbrain, I weighed it on my friend's questionable scale and it was 5 pounds overweight. But I kinda liked the scale bcoz it made ME 5 pounds underweight...but that's another story.
.
Anyways, I did some repacking and got it down to 50 pounds and left it at that.
.
You see where this is heading? Yeah, it ended up 1.5 pounds overweight, but the (God bless her) flight attendant didn't even bat an eye.
.
Moral of the story, don't take weight training classes. And FYI, I don't look like arnie swatzewhatshisface.
.

39 hours without a SHOWER. EW.

I'm in Singapore!! Almost home...but not quite...

Anyways, I've flown/will be flying from
Oklahoma City - Chicago - Hong Kong - Singapore - Kuala Lumpur

And because I've an obsession with statistics and what not, I've spent/will be spending 22 hours in the air, and 17 hours in terminals. That is 39 hours without a shower. Ew. EWWWWWW.

I think I'm gonna stop being a cow so I can be an ewe. Hahahahahaha. An Eww. Get it? Okay, fine, not funny.

Feelings? Nada. I'm being stoic as usual. Not that I can help it...I have TRIED to have feelings without effect. I'm weird.

Don't get me wrong, I'm really happy to be coming home. Maybe it's because I'm having shower withdrawal symptoms.

Yeah, that must be it.

Baaaa...

The Cow is in Hong Kong

Reporting from Hong Kong...I've survived THE 15 hour flight...got 2 more connections to catch and I'll be home sweet home. More updates when I find a powerpoint which can support my americano laptop.

Packing Woes...

The more I pack, the messier it gets. I need mum to pack for me. She knows where everything goes. I started dumping things into my bag. Everything felt better.
.
Forgive my sentence structures. I am rather disjointed. Packing does that to a person ya know?
.
ps. I'd get a picture of the packing process, but some things should remain unknown.
