Post Christmas

David's on his way back home where it is bleak and cold and sad. The apartment is in the process of being cleaned up. I just finished baking the last of the Christmas Cookies to give away. I'm recovering from too many days of eating out and sweets. I'm seriously considering turning vegetarian, but then again, I say that every Christmas!!!

Seems like no matter where you are, whether or not you are the pastor's kid, or whatever...Christmas is still the busiest time of the year. Me thinks me's gonna set aside a day to celebrate Christmas properly next week before I've to go back to work, school and be a nerd again.

Christmas Eve Update

There is a good reason why the brother came down south to spend Christmas with me and not the other way around:

ME NO LIKEY COLD!!!

I refused to go up north to his university only to turn into a Human Popsicle. But the obstinate boy brought winter down south with him. He brought a blizzard.

We were snowed in all of Christmas Eve, which ruined our Christmas Eve plans. But the food in the fridge multiplied, and we managed to conjure up a halfway decent Christmas meal.

Then we had to open presents at midnight. Which was exciting because I got to put my present underneath my Christmas Tree!!!

Ok, fine, its a $1 spruce-sprout I picked up from Target on a whim. But its still a Christmas Tree!!

Christmas Eve's Eve Update

So I've moved off the couch onto my MIA roommate's bed. With her permission, of course. I'm pretty sure it had nothing to do with how I scared the crap out of her boyfriend who did not expect to see a lump of blanket on the couch in the middle of the night.

Yeaps, so the brother's here.

And we had our family webcam session where we could all see each other at the same time. Sorta. That's only if you count seeing random limbs sticking out here and there as seeing each other.
Yup, we can all see were the slumber-genes came from.

The bladah is here...

The bladah is here...sleeping in my bed...because I don't want my roommates to wake up in the middle of the night, forget he's on the couch, freak out, and stab him to death. That would be a tad bit too tragic, don't you think?

Let's kick some donkey.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. This is a children-friendly blog. That been said, I just kicked Semester 3 in the donkey.

Translation for those who are slow or extreeeemely sleepy: I'm officially done with finals!!!

Now to move on to the work daddy sends me. Yay for the advent season where there are a gazillion services to prepare for. o.O

I see a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel...

I have a flair for the dramatic. Or at least I pretend I do. I don't really see a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel. I see light everywhere. There never really was a tunnel in the first place. I'm blabbering. Or at least I think I am. Do I blabber a lot? That's a rhetorical question. I know that you know I do. I'm sorry, I'll stop now. Honest. See? I've stopped.

Ahhem. Ahhem?? AHHHEMM!! There, that's better. =)

So...the dramatic nonsense aside, I'm done with half of my exams. I've another 2 to go, but as far as ME is concerned, its time to go amok and run around in my bday suit. 2 problems though:
  1. Its not my birthday.
  2. Its waaaay to cold to run around in my bday suit. I'll have to don on a jacket or something.
Moving away from dramatic talk to something plain and boring: weather.

It's cold, it's in the negative, and wind chill is not a very forgiving factor. Brr. That's all I have to say.

Homestretch

I'm done with classes forever and ever and ever. Amen.

In MY WORLD, 'forever' lasts till 11 January 2010.

But no one really cares about MY WORLD. *sniffles*

*stops sniffling*

So yes, I'm done with classes for the semester. This coming week is Final's Week!! Yay for exams!! *vomit blood*

Statistics
Monday (2p-4p)

English Literature
Monday (4p-6p)

History
Thursday (8a-10a)

Sociology
Anytime I want*

*Online course, go figure.

Luckily I tested out of taking the Anatomy final. Yay for 2 years of SPM biology!! *vomits blood again*

Please excuse the rather bloody nature of today's blog post. I'm in a I don't wanna study mood which obviously clashes with my abominably annoying kiasu attitude towards studies and life in general.

Girl's Night!!

Girl's Nights need no introduction. We camwhore, talk, camwhore, eat fattening food, camwhore, play games and camwhore again.

This particular Girl's Night was to celebrate Christmas, and we had the usual gift exchange thing. I got a baby Christmas Tree for the gift exchange, had tons of fun decorating it...

...and figuring out how to wrap it.
In return, I got a pregnancy test.
I think they want me to be the next Virgin Mary. AHHEM!!! It was positive, by the way. BUT only because it was a fake/trick test. Pa, you may pick yourself off the floor.

So talking about pregnancy tests...*flashback to August 2008*...here's a conversation I had with a church member right before I left for my freshman year in uni:
So Caryn, how long will you be in the US?
9 months. Enough to get pregnant, give birth and come back.
*silence*
I'm kidding.
Oh.
I am a very naughty pastor's kid.
